Some teachers light up a classroom, Charlotte builds bridges far beyond it. With a global career spanning South Africa, Qatar and Hong Kong, she has dedicated herself to creating learning environments where every child – regardless of ability or background – feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive.
Rooted in Connection
Charlotte began her teaching journey at Sylvan Learning in 2017, working with children aged 4–11 to strengthen foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. Whether running playful multiplication workshops or offering targeted support, her focus was always clear: meet each child where they are, then guide them forward.
Charlotte’s passion for personalised learning deepened during her time at Sun Valley Primary School, where she led the Life Skills curriculum and rewrote the Grade 2 Afrikaans syllabus, tailoring content to better serve her learners. After embracing play-based learning through the EYFS framework in Doha, Charlotte returned to South Africa, where she now serves as a Learning Support Teacher at Kommetjie Primary. Here, she acts as the vital link between children, parents, teachers and specialists — ensuring no learner is left behind.

For Charlotte, inclusion isn’t a policy, it’s a calling. Inspired by her own learning journey, she’s committed to ensuring that students with diverse needs aren’t sidelined but celebrated. Her approach blends hands-on learning, nature-based exploration and evidence-based interventions designed to close gaps — without closing doors.
With experience across both mainstream and special needs settings, Charlotte knows that true education is about more than content delivery. It’s about equipping children with the confidence and tools to navigate life far beyond the classroom walls.
